The invention concerns an effluent purifying device comprising: a clarification vessel (2), a pump (21) providing pulsed supply of the effluent into a chamber (20) placed on the upper surface of the clarification vessel (2), at least an metering pump for adding (22, 23), in said chamber, a coagulating or flocculating reagent to the effluent, a conduit (25) supplying the effluent with added reagent(s) from said chamber to the lower part of a flocculation vat (12) arranged inside the clarification vessel, wherein is formed a sludge bed through which the effluent flows from the top downwards and in contact with which the effluent is clarified.

Ce dispositif de purification d'effluent comprend: une cuve de clarification (2), une pompe (21) amenant de façon pulsée l'effluent dans une enceinte (20) placée sur la face supérieure de la cuve de clarification (2), au moins une pompe doseuse d'addition (22, 23), dans ladite enceinte (20), d'un réactif coagulant ou floculant à l'effluent, un conduit (25) amenant l'effluent additionné de réactif(s) depuis ladite enceinte jusqu'à la partie basse d'un bac de floculation (12) disposé à l'intérieur de la cuve de clarification, dans lequel se forme un lit de boues que l'effluent traverse de bas en haut et au contact duquel l'effluent se clarifie.
