A wastewater treatment system which has first and second treatment zones, the first treatment zone comprising a biological treatment member which rotates into and out of wastewater in a container, and a second treatment zone which has peat moss therein, the peat moss preferably being placed in a plurality of spaced apart drawers to provide sequential treatment for the wastewater and having aeration means interposed between the drawers. The system provides for treatment wherein the water may be discharged into waterways.
