IMPROVEMENTS IN EJECTORS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A fluid ejector comprises a nozzle for a motive fluid, which opens into a mixing zone, and a diffuser downstream of the mixing zone for diffusing the motive fluid and fluid entrained by it. The ejector nozzle is annular, and has its mouth outwardly directed, and is formed by a gap between a central body having an inlet for the motive fluid, and a first disc-like member. First disc-like member, together with a second disc-like member spaced therefrom, form the diffuser. The first disc-like member is connected to the central body by an operating means for setting the distance between the first disc-like member and the central body, the operating means being operable from the outer side of the first disc-like member. Preferably, in an ejector as disclosed, the nozzle forming-gap between the central body and the first disc-like member is at an angle to the radial plane of the nozzle.
