The invention pertains to an elastic band, in particular for upholstery on the backrests of chairs, etc. The band has rubber threads (2, 2a, 2b) running in its longitudinal direction. On both sides of the rubber threads, running transverse to them, are front and back woof threads (4, 6) made of inelastic textile material. The band is designed for crochet production. It has weave threads made of inelastic material, with each rubber thread (2, 2a, 2b) having two weave threads (7, 8) one of which, as stationary weave thread (7), always loops around the same rubber thread as well as the front and back woof threads (4, 6). The other, the jump weave thread (8) makes loops around a first rubber thread (2a) and around a small, odd number of successive front and back woof threads (4, 6). It then jumps to a neighbouring second rubber thread (2) and with it makes an equal number of successive front and back woof-thread loops. It then jumps back to the first rubber thread (2a), etc.
L'invention concerne une bande élastique, utilisée notamment pour rembourrer des dossiers de sièges, etc. La bande comporte des fils de caoutchouc (2, 2a, 2b) qui s'étendent dans son sens longitudinal. Des fils de trame (4, 6) avant et arrière en matériau textile non élastique passent de part et d'autre des fils élastiques et transversalement à eux. La bande doit pouvoir être réalisée au crochet. Elle comporte des fils d'armure en matériau textile non élastique, chaque fil de caoutchouc (2, 2a, 2b) comportant deux fils d'armure (7, 8), dont un qui sert de fil d'armure (7) stationnaire, forme une maille toujours autour du même fil de caoutchouc, ainsi qu'autour du fil de trame avant et du fil de trame arrière (4, 6). L'autre fil d'armure (8), celui qui passe au-dessus, ne forme une maille qu'autour du fil de trame (6) situé d'un côté. Le fil d'armure qui passe au-dessus (8) forme des mailles autour d'un premier fil de caoutchouc (2a) et autour d'un nombre impair réduit de fils de trame avant et arrière (4, 6) successifs. Il passe ensuite à un second fil de caoutchouc (2) adjacent avec lequel il forme un nombre identique de mailles de fils de trame avant et arrière successives. Il revient ensuite au premier fil de caoutchouc (2a), etc.
