ABSTRACT A soft accoustically decouplable rotationally elastic shaft coupling has a hub element and driven element that is formed from carrier plates. At least one cage is formed in the carrier plates, in which at least one rubber shock- absorbing element is installed, this being in the form of a cylindrical disk or a cylindrical ring or segment of a ring. in order to arrive at a particularly soft rotational spring characteristic curve, the rubber shock-absorbing element incorporates equally distributed hollow spaces in the form of regular polyhedrones or spheres, the cross-sectional areas of which are greater than the cross-sectional area of hollow channels that pass centrally through a series of these chambers and which extend at least essentially across the total height of this rubber shock-absorbing element.
