To obtain elasticity imparting agents for paints comprised of liquid non-aqueous polymer dispersions which, when added to paints, improve the scratch resistance without lowering the acid resistance of the hardened paint film. [Constitution] A liquid non-aqueous polymer dispersion which contains (a) 40 - 90 percent by weight organic solvent, (b) 10 - 50 percent by weight particle component comprised vinyl based copolymer which contains 30 percent by weight or more of structural units of the formula indicated below, and (c) 5 - 40 percent by weight dispersion stabilizer for dispersing the b component in the a component. Agents d'élasticité pour peintures, constitués de dispersions polymères liquides et non aqueuses qui, ajoutées aux peintures, améliorent la résistance à la rayure de la couche de peinture durcie sans en diminuer la résistance aux acides. La dispersion polymère liquide et non aqueuse contient (a) de 40 à,90 % en poids de solvant organique; (b) de 10 à 50 % en poids d'un constituant particulaire composé de copolymère à base de vinyle renfermant au moins 30 % en poids de motifs de structure répondant à la formule (1); et (c) de 5 à 40 % en poids d'un agent stabilisant la dispersion et servant à disperser le constituant (a) dans le constituant (b). Dans ladite formule (1), R?1¿ à R?5¿ représentent H ou des groupes méthyles, m vaut de 0 à 2, n vaut de 0 à 10, p est 0 ou 1, q vaut de 0 à 3 et r vaut de 0 à 3.
