This invention describes the use of liquid block isoprene-butadiene copolymers of approximately 25,000 to 100,000 v molecular weight, and which comprises 10 to 90% by weight isoprene and 90 to 10% by weight butadiene. This material is added to a rubber compound that contains natural rubber, isoprene rubber, styrene butadiene rubber and butadiene rubber, or blends thereof, the sum of which is equal to or greater than 50 phr of the entire rubber content formulation. The liquid block copolymer is used at low levels, typically 1.5 phr to 15 phr. The invention also includes tires with at least one component composed of such rubber composition such as a tire tread.

Cette invention concerne l'utilisation de copolymères séquencés liquides isoprène-butadiène, de poids moléculaire allant d'environ 25 000 à 100 000 et renfermant de 10 à 90 %, en poids, d'isoprène et de 90 à 10 %, en poids, de butadiène. Cette matière est ajoutée à un composé caoutchouteux contenant du caoutchouc naturel, du caoutchouc isoprène, du caoutchouc styrène-butadiène et du caoutchouc butadiène, ou des mélanges de ceux-ci, et dont la teneur totale est égale ou supérieure à 50 parties par 100 parties de caoutchouc (pcc) contenues dans l'ensemble de la formulation. On utilise le copolymère séquencé liquide à de faibles teneurs, typiquement de 1,5 à 15 pcc. Cette invention divulgue aussi des pneus comportant au moins un constituant, comme la semelle, composé d'une telle composition de caoutchouc.
