ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The invention is to a snowshoe harness comprising a member made of elastomeric sheet material. The member has a central foot opening, a rear heel-engaging portion back of the opening, and a front instep-engaging portion in front of the opening. A fastening portion is provided on each side of the instep-engaging portion. The harness is attached flat on the upper surface of a snowshoe solely at the fastening portions. The invention is also to a showshoe incorporating the above harness.
