Abstract of the Disclosure An elbow fitting for a tub overflow drain includes an inlet port having a flange extending radially outwardly therefrom. A plurality of lugs extends axially from the flange to center an annular packing which is disposed about the outside of a tub overflow drain. A hollow tubular towardly section extends to a discharge end disposed in a plane 90° to the inlet port. A drain cover is disposed within the tub and centered about the overflow drain, with a threaded member extending therefrom into the inlet port. A post extends from the inner bore surface of the toroidal section toward the inlet opening, and includes a tapped hole extending axially with respect to the inlet port. A reinforcing fillet extends from the post to the upper inner bore surface of the towardly section to withstand non-axial forces exerted on the post by the threaded member engaged in the tapped hole.
