The invention relates to an electric arc furnace roof top (10) comprising a central portion (14) and a peripheral portion (16) surrounding the central portion (14), each of these portions having an inner surface (24,26) suitable for facing the furnace inner space (I). The inner surfaces of the peripheral and central portions form together a step (d) so as to raise the inner surface (24) of the central portion (14) in relation to the inner surface (26) of the peripheral portion (16) with respect to the furnace inner space.
L'invention concerne une partie supérieure de la voûte d'un four à arc électrique (10) comprenant une partie centrale (14) et une partie périphérique (16) entourant la partie centrale (14), chacune de ces parties présentant une surface interne (24,26) adaptée pour faire face à l'espace interne (1) du four. Les surfaces internes des parties périphérique et centrale forment ensemble un étage (d) de manière à soulever la surface interne (24) de la partie centrale (14) par rapport à la surface interne (26) de la partie périphérique (16) en fonction de l'espace interne du four.
