An armor or sheild grounding arrangement for cable terminations in which contact fingers, rather than being flexible, are substantially rigid. In the initial (as sold) form, the fingers are radially clear of the passage through the center of the fitting into which the prepared cable end is to be inserted; when the cable is in place (preferably as the fitting is screwed up in the ordinary way) the fingers are bent beyond their elastic limit to engage the layer of the cable to be grounded. Subsequent flexing of the fingers is minimal and the risk of fatigue fracture practically eliminated without the need to embed the fingers in resinous compound. The fingers may in some cases be sharp enough to penetrate the outer jacket of the cable, eliminating the need to strip it back.
