ABSTRACT An electric cable has at least one polymeric-insulated conductor which is surrounded by a bedding layer made from a composition comprising an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, at least 55% of inert mineral filler and an antioxidant, which is enclosed in a sheath of low-flammability material. A heat-barrier is preferably interposed between the bedding and the sheath.
