An electric cutting device is provided for segmenting and derinding a half section of a citrus fruit in order to collect pulp segments thereof. This device has a base made of a housing in which is mounted an electric motor with a driving shaft, and of an upwardly opened container for receiving the pulp segments of the fruit. The device also has a fruit segmenting member sized and shaped to fit into and be supported by the top portion of the container. This fruit segmenting member includes a set of arcuate knives upwardly projecting from a ring and converging toward a common apex. The fruit segmenting member forms a generally semi-spherical open frame on which the half section of the fruit can be applied and pressed down in order to segment radially fruit to form the requested pulp segments. The device further has a fruit derinding member sized and shaped to fit into the container below the fruit segmenting member. The fruit derinding member includes one or more arcuate blades upwardly projecting from a blade support. Each blade shaped, sized and connected onto the blade support in such a manner to extend contiguously to any one of the arcuate knives of the fruit segmenting member when the fruit segmenting member is fitted onto the base with the fruit derinding member in between. The blade support is connected to the driving shaft of the electric motor when the fruit derinding member is fitted into the container. As a result, the motor may rotate the fruit derinding member within the container below the fruit segmenting member and causes the blade(s) to derind the pulp segments from the fruit pressed down on the fruit segmenting member. The so derinded segments fall down into the container for collection.
