ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An apparatus for measuring the number and length of fibers in an aqueous solution which comprises a fiber rectifier having a central throughbore, an inlet part and an outlet part; and a pair of parallel arranged plate-like electrodes, which are disposed in sequence between the inlet part and the outlet part of the rectifier. The electrodes are provided with a central opening arranged in alignment with the throughbore of the rectifier. Measuring elements are connected to the electrodes for measuring conductivity and duration. An aqueous solution flowing through the throughbore comes in contact with the electrodes and the measuring means measures the conductivity of the solution against time to determine the number and length of fibers in the solution.
