ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Recording-reproducing apparatus utilizing as the record- ing medium a rectangular sheet of paper or the like having a spiral magnetic track on one surface and printed material on the opposite surface for audiovisual educational purposes. For electrically controlling the operation of the apparatus, switches for playback, recording, stop and backspacing operations are connected to a re- versible drive motor via a control circuit comprising a relay with a plurality of relay contact sets. The control circuit includes means for automatically suspending the rotation of the drive motor in response to a stop signal generated when, during playback, the magnetic head reaches a specific zone or zones on the track.
