- 10 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electric door opener with a changer freeing or blocking a latch is described and which is detachably engaged with a electromagnetically operable inner armature. An electro- magnetically controllable locking means prevents disengagement of the inner armature from the changer, e.g.as a result of an impact. The locking means has a locking lever provided with a detent and a control edge and said lever is in engagement with a corresponding projection on the inner armature. An outer armature acting on the control edge initially deflects the locking lever, releases the locking action and, following a predetermined forward movement, drives the inner armature for releasing the changer.
