An electric door opener with a trimmer actuatable by an armature and a magnet coil and which is adjustably positioned for the release or locking of adoor opener latch. In order to be able to use the electric door opener both as ano-load current door opener and as an operating current door opener, a device is provided by which it is possible to switch the armature-trimmer system from no-load current to operating current, and vice versa.
