12 ABSTRACT An electric wire insulator of a molded rigid plastic comprises a body portion with a slot opening outwardly of the front surface, and extends across the body portion to receive a wire inserted through the entrance to the slot. A rotary closing device is provided to close the entrance to the slot and capture a wire therein. The insulator is particularly useful as a fence wire insulator mount onto fence posts.
