- 19 - ELECTRIC GENERATOR TYPE WINDMILL ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A multi-bladed impellor is journalled for rotation around a vertical axis and operatively connected to an electric generator. An outer casing surrounds the impala and has an air intake opening directed into the wind by a control sail or vane. A regulator controls a door which can close or open the air intake opening depending upon the velocity of the wind in order to prevent overloading of the generator.
