ABSTRACT The out-of-peak-load capacity of the communal electric energy supply is made useful in homes by electric heat-storage stoves. The known types of this stoves have an outer casing, a core structure made of heat-retaining material and heating coils fixed in the core structure. The core structure is formed of pairs of bricks each brick having a U-like cross section. The pairs are formed by turning the legs of the U-like cross section towards each other. According to this invention, the pairs of the bricks are placed side by side at their smallest surface and one upon another at their narrower but longer surface. The core structure is completely and compactly covered by a heat-insulating layer. A great-surface heat exchanger is provided between the outer casing and the heat-insulating layer. The outer casing is composed of module elements. /Fig. 1/
