ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hot comb is provided with a series of parallelly extending teeth, each tooth having a heating coil mounted within. An electrical control circuit controls the temperature of the heating coils to keep them at a predetermined setting. A plurality of temperature settings are provided to allow for a range of tempera- tures to suit a combing style or function. The electric control circuit is provided with a heat sensitive resistor that in combination with a trigger circuit, acts on a control rectifier in series with the heating coils Via an oscillator. -10-
