The reel device includes a casing, a drum, a spring for urging the drum to rotate in a winding direction for the cord, a locking member, and a releasing button for causing the drum to rotate and wind up the cord. The reel device is formed with a transparent portion so that the cord wound around the drum is visible from the exterior.
