An electric lamp base system includes a cylindrical socket with an inner threaded portion to screw with a lamp, one conductor fitted in a straight groove and a lateral groove extending from the straight groove and having its bottom end inserting in a lead wire, the other conductor vertically provided in a bottom of the socket to contact a bottom hole of the lamp and having its bottom end inserting in another lead wire, and a cap with two opposite projecting-up walls to fit in a center hole in the bottom of the socket from under the bottom of the socket. The two lead wires are deposited through a straight horizontal groove in the bottom of the socket. The two conductors are located far from each other without possibility of mutual contact to cause shortcircuit.
