20104-8023 ABSTRACT The electric lamp has a current lead-through, of which a metal foil forms a part. The metal foil has side edges at which the major surfaces adjoin each other at an acute angle. At least one of the major surfaces has at right angles to the side edges a convex curvature and along the side edges a concave curvature. As a result, the metal foil has a small width/thick- ness ratio and consequently relatively a high rigidity and great strength, a low current density and a mechanically and electrically good contact capabilities with an inner and/or outer current conductor.
