The present invention refers to an electrical line system with at least two conductor for transmitting electrical energy. The principal feature is that, to achieve at least partial compensation of the magnetic fields in an area of space running approximately in parallel to the line system, all conductors with the exception of one conductor are split, and that the single conductors of each of the split conductors are either located at symmetrical angles to the surface defined by the longitudinal extension of the unsplit conductor and a point in the compensation zone, or that the single conductors of the individual split conductors are located in circles which, if not totally symmetrically, are at least almost symmetrically arranged around the unsplit conductor.
