TITLE ELECTRIC LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS VAPORIZER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A compact, economical electric liquefied petroleum gas vaporizer is disclosed capable of vaporizing ten to forty gallons or more per hour liquefied petroleum gas. The unit utilizes a metal casting as a pressure vessel and heated in- terface between a source of heat and the liquefied petroleum gas as well as a heat sink. The casting has a closed internal cavity separated into two chambers by an integral barrier. Multiple small passageways in the barrier at the end of the casting opposite the point of entry of the liquefied petroleum gas connect the two chambers in the casting. The passageways aid in creating a turbulent flow which improves heat transfer. Electric resistance heaters are received in bore openings in the barrier between the two chambers. The heat generated by the resistance heaters is disseminated uniformly throughout the casting surrounding the enclosed chambers. Temperature sensing and control means are located adjacent the resistance heaters to control the temperature of the casting. A lique- fied petroleum gas inlet at the end of the casting opposite the multiple small passageways in the barrier connects with one chamber in the casting. A gas outlet connects with the other chamber for discharge of the gas vaporized during its passage through the vaporizer.
