The electric motor has a housing, in which a stator and a rotor are disposed. The whole of the interior of the housing, with the exception of a stator borehole, which forms an accommodating region for the rotor, is filled with a thermally conductive composition of high impact strength. This composition surrounds the windings of the stator and protects the windings against damage that can be caused by ground material with sharp edges, which flows through the electric motor together with aspirated cooling air. A good dissipation of heat from the central region of the electric motor to the housing of the electric motor results because the composition has a very good thermal conductivity.
