ELECTRIC MOTOR Abstract Field of Invention This invention comprises an electric motor of a comparatively flat profile, such profile being obtained by a new disposition of electro-magnetic components acting to produce mechanical power. Essentially, it is constructed from solenoids wound upon hollow circular tubes. The dimensions of the tubes are chosen so as to allow one of such tubes to fit within the other, such tubes rotating independently but in close proximity to one another. In cross-section the hoops are concentric circles of slightly differing diameters. In plan view the hoops are themselves concentric circles. The elements of the motor comprise two or more rings of solenoids or permanent magnets spinning one within another.
