Abstract "Electric motor, especially a submersible motor" With reference to electric motors, especially submersible motors, which are equipped with a liquid- tight end chamber (3) for receiving switching elements (5), it is proposed that the installing eye (12), which carries the entire weight of the electric motor, should no longer be attached to the end cap (3), but to a carry- ing bolt (11) which extends through the end cap (3) in alignment with the shaft (8) of the motor, and which carries at its free end the installing eye (12), while it is mounted with the other end on the bearing bracket (6). This arrangement prevents warping problems and sealing problems of the end cap (3). (Fig. 1).
