An electric motor-wheel including a hollow shaft with a first opening at a first end thereof and a second opening at a second end thereof, wherein said first opening receives conductors from outside the motor-wheel; a stator coaxial with and attached to the shaft, said stator being provided with a hollow portion and windings; a rotor coaxial with and rotatably mounted about the stator; and a conversion system for converting an electric input current into a variable alternating electric current, and including power electronics in the hollow portion, input terminals for receiving the electric input current, and output terminals for generating the variable alternating electric current. Thus, in operation, the variable alternating current is supplied to the stator windings.
Le moteur-roue électrique comprend un arbre creux ayant une première extrémité munie d'une première ouverture, et une seconde extrémité munie d'une second ouverture, la première ouverture recevant des conducteurs de l'extérieur du moteur-roue; un stator coaxial avec l'arbre et fixé à celui-ci, le stator étant muni d'une partie creuse et de bobinages; un rotor coaxial avec le stator et monté de façon à pouvoir tourner autour du stator; et un système de conversion pour convertir un courant électrique d'entrée en un courant électrique alternatif et variable, le système de conversion incluant une électronique de puissance montée dans la partie creuse, des bornes d'entrée pour recevoir le courant électrique d'entrée et des bornes de sortie pour générer le courant électrique alternatif et variable; ainsi, en opération, le courant alternatif et variable alimente les bobinages du stator.
