6D-5233 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electric oven toaster construction wherein a unique linking mechanism is provided between an oven toaster door and an oven toaster switch for closing the switch when the door is closed and opening the switch when the door is opened. A door tab and a switch actuaating lever are provided with apertures for receiving end portions of a uniquely formed rod that extends from the door to the switch actuating lever. A single coil spring is hooked over a transverse end portion of the rod, and is connected to rear wall of the oven toaster for biasing the oven toaster switch to a closed position and the door to a closed position.
