The present invention relates to an electric toothbrush, specifically the toothbrush handle of an electric toothbrush, with a handle housing, with a preferably rod-shaped drive transmitter which protrudes from a first side of the handle housing and on which a brush attachment can be secured, and with a drive motor for moving the drive transmitter, wherein the drive transmitter is mounted, by means of a bearing device in the interior of the handle housing, in the manner of a rocker arm such that the drive transmitter can be pivoted to-and-fro transverse to its longitudinal axis by the drive motor. The invention further relates to the whole toothbrush, comprising such a toothbrush handle part and a brush attachment secured to the drive transmitter thereof. According to the invention, the bearing device holds the drive transmitter so as to pivot about a rotation point lying outside the handle housing. Said rotation point is offset particularly far out from the handle housing, such that it comes to lie between the bristle array of the brush attachment and the front end of the handle in the area of the lips. In this way, an efficient cleaning movement with a large cleaning amplitude in the area of the bristle array can be combined with a low vibration amplitude of the toothbrush in the area of the lips.
La présente invention concerne une brosse à dents électrique, à savoir d'une part la partie de manche d'une brosse à dents électrique, avec un boîtier de manche, un dispositif de transfert d'entraînement saillant hors du boîtier de manche sur un premier côté du boîtier, de préférence en forme de barre, sur lequel peut être fixée une brosse rapportée, ainsi qu'un moteur d'entraînement pour mettre en mouvement le dispositif de transfert d'entraînement. Le dispositif de transfert d'entraînement est monté par un dispositif de palier à l'intérieur du boîtier de manche à la manière d'une bascule, de telle sorte que le dispositif de transfert d'entraînement puisse être pivoté transversalement à son axe longitudinal d'avant en arrière par le moteur d'entraînement. L'invention concerne d'autre part l'ensemble de la brosse à dents, qui comprend une telle partie de manche de brosse à dents et une brosse rapportée fixée sur son dispositif de transfert d'entraînement. Conformément à l'invention, le dispositif de palier retient le dispositif de transfert d'entraînement de manière à le faire pivoter autour d'un pivot situé en dehors du boîtier de la partie de manche. Ledit pivot est dans ce cas notamment décalé hors du boîtier de la partie de manche dans une mesure telle qu'il vienne se placer entre le champ des poils de la brosse rapportée et l'extrémité frontale de la partie de manche au niveau des lèvres. De ce fait, on peut combiner un mouvement de nettoyage efficace avec une grande amplitude de nettoyage au niveau du champ des poils, avec une faible amplitude de vibration de la brosse à dents au niveau des lèvres.
