ABSTRACT An electrical cable comprising a plurality of mutually isolated elongate conductors carried by a body of electrically insulating material, the conductors being arranged in two superposed planar arrays, the conductors in each array being parallel and equispaced, and being parallel to the conductors of the other array, is used in a balanced pair transmission system by spacing the conductors of adjacent pairs to give a substantially balanced capacitive bridge arrangement. The two arrays are readily separable from each other for ease of termination.
