ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Apparatus for directly contacting the handle arm of a circuit breaker, when one or more of the moveable contacts of the circuit breaker is welded to its fixed contact, thereby preventing the operating lever from being moved to the full off position. This prevents a person from erroneously believing that an electrical circuit, connected to the circuit breaker, is de-energized when the contacts are so welded since the operating lever cannot be moved to the off position and thereby provide a false indication of the position of the contacts.
