The arc extinguishing chamber (13) of a pole of an electrical circuit breaker with rotating arc and self-extinguishing expansion comprises an elongated housing (12), sealed off at both ends by end plates (17, 18). Coaxially inside the housing (12) there are disposed tubular contacts (14, 15) and a magnetic blowout coil (22). At the height of the extinguishing zone defined by the separation zone of the contacts (14, 15), there is located a sleeve (31) in proximity to the housing (12) while leaving an annular gap (32), which makes the top part (28) of the chamber (13) and the bottom part (29) of this chamber, located on either side of the extinguishing zone, communicate. The gap (32) allows the gases to flow between these two parts (28, 29) and fins (30) arranged in this bottom part (29) slow down the rotation of the gases to direct them to the arc extinguishing zone.
