A circuit protection apparatus (26) is disclosed which includes a circuit protection device (28) which can be a polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PTC) circuit protector. A light emitting diode (LED) (24) is mounted in parallel with the circuit protection device (28). If the circuit protection device is tripped, the LED (24) will light, providing a visual indication to an operator that the circuit has been tripped. The circuit protection apparatus can be mounted as part of a load center (10) in a vehicle, such as a truck. A plurality of the circuit protection apparatus can be mounted on a circuit board in the load center and a cover (20) with appropriate labels can be mounted over the circuit board so that a particular LED will shine through a particular aperture (22) in the cover adjacent the label associated therewith.
