In one embodiment, an electrical connector comprises a housing, at least two electrical outlets accessible through the housing, a rotation coupler at least partially enclosed by the housing and coupled to the at least two electrical outlets, and a prong adapter coupled to the rotation coupler. The rotation coupler comprises a line contact, a neutral contact, and a ground contact. The prong adapter comprises a prong set with at least two of a line prong configured to couple with the line contact, a neutral prong configured to couple with the neutral contact, or a ground prong configured to couple with the ground contact. The rotation coupler is configured to allow a rotational movement of the housing relative to the prong adapter.
Selon un mode de réalisation, la présente invention concerne un connecteur électrique comportant un boîtier, au moins deux prises électriques accessibles à travers le boîtier, un coupleur de rotation contenu au moins en partie dans le boîtier et couplé aux dites deux prises électriques, et un adaptateur à broches couplé au coupleur de rotation. Le coupleur de rotation comporte contact de ligne électrique, un contact neutre, et un contact de mise à la terre. Ladaptateur à broches comporte un ensemble de broches avec au moins deux parmi une broche de ligne configurée pour être couplée avec le contact de ligne électrique, une broche neutre configurée pour être couplée avec le contact neutre, ou une broche de mise à la terre configurée pour être couplée avec le contact de mise à la terre. Le coupleur de rotation est configuré pour permettre un mouvement de rotation du boîtier par rapport à ladaptateur à broches.
