9292 ABSTRACT An electrical connector comprises an insulating housing defining cavities in which are electrical terminals having slotted plate portions for receiving wires and wire strain relief ears for crimping about the insulation of the wires. So that the terminals can be wired in situ in the housing, by means of a wire insertion tool and an ear crimping tool, each cavity has an open side for receiving the tools and towards which side the slotted plate portions and the ears upstand from a floor of the cavity. The ears are offset longitudinally of the terminal.
