The invention relates to an electrical connector that contains one or more connector modules each of which comprises at least one contact support and a plurality of contact elements that are supported by said contact support. Said contact supports can be displaced in relation to one another and/or in relation to other components of the electrical connector. Such an electrical connector can be configured as a multi-pole miniaturized connector with which high-quality electrical connections can be reliably established.
