Electrical busbar terminal assemblies are known having several interconnected sockets in a housing so that power on a contact inserted in one socket can be distributed to contacts inserted in others of the sockets. In the present invention the sockets are hyperboloid spring sockets mounted on a metal bar spaced along its length. The sockets extend along respective bores of an insulating lower body and the bar extends along the bottom of the body being covered by a cover plate. The two end sockets are larger than the others and receive input power contacts so that power is distributed from these sockets via the bar to contacts inserted in the other sockets. Catches with inturned teeth retain the contacts after insertion. The catches are located in bores in an upper closure bonded to the lower body and are trapped between the lower body and a step in the upper closure. The catches are electrically isolated from the sockets until after insertion of a contact.
