ABSTRACT An electrical assembly includes a multi-conductor cable and a multi-contact connector disposed alongside the cable. The conductors from the cable extend laterally with respect to the longitudinal axis of the cable and are connected to terminals on the rear side of the connector. The invention resides in the fact that wires extending from the cable are encompassed by a cover which also receives a shroud connected to the rear of the connector. The cover is mounted on the cable and as well as protecting the individual conductors also provides a strain relief effect.
