ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FOR CIRCUIT BOARD ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A connector for making electrical contact between an external circuit and a planar substrate having conductive portions on one side thereof includes an insulating housing having an interior area for receiving the substrate. Guides are adapted to be engaged with edge portions of said substrate upon movement thereof normal to its plane and into the in- terior area. Contacts mounted within the interior area sup- port the substrate and contact the conductive portions on one side of the substrate. Each contact includes a project- ing portion adapted to be resilently biased over the other side of the substrate for holding the substrate. The pro- jecting portion also provides for electrical probing of the contact for circuit test.
