ABSTRACT An electrical connector housing is formed of electri- cally insulating material and has a contact-receiving cavity open at both ends, there being a shoulder at one end of the cavity for preventing insertion or withdrawal of a contact through that one end of the cavity, and a portion of one wall of the housing is formed as a flap integral with the remain- der of the one wall of the housing only at a hinge extending transversely of the longitudinal axis of the cavity, the hinge being spaced from the other end of the cavity, and the flap extending from the hinge towards the one end of the cavity at which the first shoulder is located, the flap carrying a boss at its free end, the boss providing a second shoulder which, with the flap in an open position, is clear of the cavity to permit insertion or withdrawal of a contact through the other end of the cavity, and, with the flap in a closed position, extends into the cavity to prevent withdrawal of an inserted contact through the other end of the cavity, the flap and the remainder of the housing being provided with co-operating re- leasable latching means which serve to secure the flap in the closed position.
