ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR RECEPTACLE ADAPTED TO BE MOUNTED ON PRINTED WIRING CARD ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A jack-type connector receptacle is disclosed which is adapted for mounting on the edge of a circuit board with the board sandwiched between a cover portion and a base portion of the connector. Side-by-side con- ductors of round wire extend through the cover diagon- ally into the plug receiving opening of the housing. The conductors are spread apart at their rearward ends which extend beyond the rear of the connector receptacle and are intended to be inserted into holes in the circuit board, then bent at essentially right angles, during assembly of the cover and housing to the circuit board.
