ABSTRACT A kit for a shield for first and second intermatable connector members including a first bipartite metal enclosure comprising a pair of half- shells, one half-shell having side walls formed with cantilever beams receivable within the side walls of the other half-shell in an interference fit when the half-shells are moved together to provide a connector member receiving cavity. Each half-shell has a tail adapted to engage a shielding layer of a shielded cable. A second metal enclosure for receiving the second connector member and having a mouth formed with a plurality of reversely bent cantilever beams engageable with the first enclosure.
