ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ABSTRACT An electrical connector comprises a plug member and a receptacle member wherein one of said members includes a coupling nut having bayonet grooves which cam with bayonet pins on the other member to fix the two members in coupled relationship. A spring loaded, radially biased detent pin is carried in the coupling nut. The detent pin includes an inwardly projecting portion which detents into a recess of the plug shell on which it is carried to prevent inadvertent rotation of the coupling nut when the members are fully coupled and an outwardly projecting portion which provides tactile indication of coupling.
