ABSTRACT An electrical connector comprises an insulating housing having at least one through cavity in which an electrical terminal in the form of an elongate loop is hung from a pair of shoulders near one end of the cavity. The shoulders extend into the loop and strap members defined by a wire receiving mouth formed in the bight of the loop, which mouth leads to wire receiving slots in the sides of the loop, each rest upon one of the shoulders. A wire can be forced into the slots by way of the mouth, in the transverse direction of the length of the wire, the shoulders restraining any movement of the terminal towards the other end of the cavity. The connector can readily be made in miniature, multi- contact form, with the terminals in very closely spaced relationship.
