ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION There is disclosed an electrical contact device for sandwich-type wheelfenders of the type having at least one metal layer that is enclosed on all sides by a plastic material. The device has a metal head that has an underside that is essentially flat and can be compressed against an outer side of the wheel- fender. An extension is formed on the underside, this extension being at right-angles to the underside and passing through the wheelfender when installed. A securing device that is anchored to the extension secures the contact device in the wheelfender. In order to ensure a longer service life for the contact point between the metal layer and the extension of the contact device, as well as lower contact resistance, there is only one extension, and this is arranged concentrically with the head. On the outer periphery of the extension there are provided projections that run in the longitudinal direction of the extension. The securing device also surrounds the extension concentrically.
