ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention is directed to a method of machining a workpiece to a predetermined depth using a multiple-tool machining process in which uneven machine tool wear occurs. The method comprises machining the workpiece to a first level less than the predetermined depth to which the tools are to progress,withdrawing the tools from the workpiece, re-aligning the tips of said tools with one another, refeeding the same, machining the workpiece to a second level, withdrawing the tools from the workpiece, re-aligning said tips, and then refeeding the tools as may be necessary until the predetermined depth is achieved.
