A joint between two screened electric cables (2, 4) is contained within a rigid housing (38, 40) that contains insulating gel (46). A Faraday Cage over the conductor connector (26) and extending on to the cable dielectrics (18, 20) is formed by an elastomeric internally-lubricated (30) dual-wall tube (28) that is revolved into position. The elastomeric tube (28) is sufficiently resilient to accommodate thermal expansion and/or displacement of the gel (46).

Une cage de Faraday placée au-dessus du connecteur (26) du conducteur et s'étendant vers les diélectriques (18, 20) du câble est constituée par un tube élastomère à double paroi (28) et à lubrification intérieure (30), qu'on monte par rotation.
